The parentage of Katherine Benedict has not been verified as of yet.  However, based upon the marriage records for her first three children, all of whom were witnessed by Jacob and Mary Benedict, they are her likely parents, and were possibly the guardians of her first three children.

Little is known of Katherine as a young woman.

Katherine is listed in the 1871 Hants County Census as Catherine Millen.  Since she had died in 1870, she is listed in living in Dwelling 0/Family 0.  Other members of the household (Dwelling  206/Family 210 - St. Croix, NS) are sons Frances Millen (15), Auther Millen (11), Charles Millen (9),and  George Millen (6) and husband John Millen (39).
